Afternoon Training: Navigating Medicaid Changes for Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery

1:00 - 4:00pm (Registration and Lunch Opens at 12:30pm)

The re-authorization of Medicaid Expansion ensured that 50,000 NH residents would maintain health coverage. However, the legislation does not simply continue the current program. Instead, it creates the Granite Advantage Health Care Program, which has many practical differences for providers and for patients. Hear from healthcare attorneys about the move from the Premium Assistance Program to Managed Care Organizations and the implementation of community engagement or work requirements will affect patients and service providers alike.

This training will be useful for organizations billing health insurance as well as service providers working with the Medicaid Expansion population who will need to understand patients' rights and responsibilities under the new program. It will be valuable for prevention, treatment, and recovery providers seeking more information on how to assist their communities in understanding the changes, and navigating the community engagement requirements.
