Advocacy

As an association, we represent the provider field with one voice, ensuring that our concerns, ides, and messages are delivered to the stakeholders we all rely on for funding and support. We are working with our colleagues at the state and national level, to ensure that the infrastructure development, policies, and funding systems function in the best interest of the clients and consumers we serve.

The NHPA works to provide a unified voice in multiple forums for members. We represent our members’ interests at important legislative meetings, committees, hearings and task forces.  We also work with the National Council on Behavioral Health to influence federal initiatives, rule making, and legislation impacting the behavioral health committee.  The Providers Association is working diligently toward reducing barriers for providers in the prevention, treatment, and recovery fields.

The NH Providers Association routinely seeks information from our members to enhance our bank of information for advocacy purposes. If you would like to provide information to us that we can use when advocating for alcohol and other drug service issues, please contact [email protected]. We also encourage our members to get to know their Representatives and Senators, so that alcohol and other drug service issues are on the forefront of their minds when they are charged with making decisions at the state house.
